Ramblin' Wreck and the 7th Floor Crew

Well, that game just about sums it up for me. Coker seems to be able to deliver on the big games when his back is against the wall, but not in what on paper should be a gimme. I am tired of seeing debacles like Tennessee '03, UNC '04, and now GT '05 ruin what could be National Championship caliber seasons. I am almost sorry that USC did not lose and make the Hurricanes face the fact that they could have been playing in the Rose Bowl on January 4th. Reggie Bush stepped up for the Trojans; unfortunately, no one did the same for the Canes.

Motivation plays a big role in college football and I find it hard to believe that with the Forde article on espn.com the Canes couldn't play the role of us against the world once more. The Orange Bowl used to be a place that was feared by opponents, now they just come in and "take care of business" the same way our guys used to. This was not a beat down by any means, but it was not Miami football. The O-line stunk, Kyle Wright regressed to his FSU level of play, and Devin Hester is certainly missed on special teams, but there is no excuse for losing to an inferior team...problem is on this night Miami was inferior.

Oh well, there's always next season.
